Love of my life

Have I mentioned Mr. Puddles?

He is this terrific duck that I am usually caught carrying around my house.

He was actually a gift from Mr. Lovely, but it's been so long that I don't really associate the two of them together. Mr. Puddles has his own identity. He was brought to me by a fairy that knew I needed a companion. He's really sentimental to me. I don't know why, but he means a lot to me. HE's always there with me when I talk on the phone, pull my hair out from physics nonsense, paint my nails, and even when I watch scary episodes of CSI. Just the look at him makes me feel content and warm. To this girl that spends most of her time alone at home, he's the closest thing to family. I simply adore and appreciate him.

So as I sat Mr. Puddles next to me on the couch, my dad surprised me with a thing that I never thought he would own. He showed me a big, friendly doll that came with a plastic ice cream cone. Don't think of weird, creepy things! He said he bought that cute doll when he was 17 and 1/2 because he really wanted a baby girl one day when he gets married to form a family. To this day, he still has the doll and keeps it in really good conditions on the top of the closet to remind himself that he has what he had dreamt of.
